Chameleon Clock
features and functions |
All trades for NASD must show the complete
date and time to the second. |
Chameleon Clock shows the date and time
to the second in the system tray. |
Member firms may synchronize business
clocks to any source that is accurate to within three
seconds of the National Institute of Standards and Technology
(NIST). |
Chameleon Clock uses NIST Time
Server to synchronize the computer clock via
fast and reliable SNTP protocol. Synchronization accuracy usually is 10 msec or less. |
Computer system clocks must be synchronized
every business day before market open. To maintain clock
synchronization, clocks should be re-synchronized, if
necessary, at pre-determined intervals throughout the
day. |
Chameleon Clock can automatically
question NIST Time Servers at startup and stated
intervals and re-synchronize your computer's clock. Time
interval may be 1 minute or more, and its stability is not affected even if PC clock is not accurate. You can also adjust time manually by choosing the menu
command. |
Member firms must document and maintain
their clock synchronization procedures. |
Chameleon Clock keeps detailed
records of all time adjusting actions and their
results. |
All clocks must be Y2K compliant. |
Thorough testings have proved no
Y2K problem. |
|
Chameleon Clock replaces standard Windows
system tray clock and thus does not eat a pixel
of desktop space. At the same time, standard Chameleon
Clock numbers are 1.6 times bigger than Windows system
tray clock, which makes it more visible
in the desktop. When a large-digit skin could not seat
in the system tray, the clock flows on the desktop.
|
|
As the clock uses Winamp
skins and bitmap digits for time and date display,
you can choose any clock size and look you like. |
|
Alarm feature allows to make messages
using MP3, WAV, MIDI, and CD-Audio sounds, open applications/documents,
and shut down your PC at the specified time. |
|
Tooltip
provides a quick access to any number of different time
zones, a calendar, and today's upcoming alarms. |
|
Interface is multilingual.
